Spreadsheet header
What it is
Section titled “What it is”The top level of the toolbar of an open spreadsheet: the name on the left, access on the right. The level can be hidden to give the cells more room. In the chat, lists and settings this bar is absent.
How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”- Open a spreadsheet. Click the name to rename it, or click Access to open the access settings.
- On a computer: on the left, Back, the name, Comments and notifications; on the right, Agent, People in this spreadsheet, Access and download. Clicking a person’s icon selects that person. Version history is in the bottom bar.
- Click the arrow on the right of the tools row (Hide spreadsheet header): the top level is hidden.
- Click the arrow again (Show spreadsheet header): the name and the actions come back.
- On a phone: on the left, Back and the name; on the right, Access and the Spreadsheet actions menu with comments, notifications, version history, the agent and download. Formatting and sheet operations are in the tools menu.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”- The bar is a shared surface with the tools, without a separate plate or shadow.
- Hiding does not close the sheet, the tools, the formula bar, the sheet tabs or the open side panels, and does not change data, selection or zoom.
- Switching sheets and viewing a version keep the hidden state. After you reopen the spreadsheet or reload the page, the top level is visible again: the setting is not remembered.
- The arrow is activated with the mouse, touch, Enter and Space; focus stays on it. Hidden buttons cannot be reached with the Tab key.
- A long name stays on one line; it is fully visible in the rename window.
- Renaming, the agent and access are available according to your rights in the workbook. The bar does not change your rights.
