Organizations · Account space and disabled members

An account has one space of its own: the one created at sign-up. On the single-user plan it is called Personal account. A plan with seats for members turns this same space into an organization: the same chats, spreadsheets and files, and the same plan. There is no second space, and no need to choose between personal and organization. A disabled member loses access to everything in the organization, not only disappears from the menu.

The space becomes an organization.

  1. The platform administrator gives the account a plan with seats for members.
  2. Your space becomes an organization at once (if the plan was changed in another way, the change applies the next time you open the product). Its name is Organization name if it was entered at sign-up before 28.09.2026; otherwise your first and last name, otherwise your login, otherwise Workspace in the interface language. You can rename it; see Limits below.
  3. The profile menu shows Members and limits. In the organization’s History you see … created the organization.

The plan drops to the single-user level.

  • If the organization has no one but you, and no unanswered invitations with a valid deadline (expired ones do not count), the space becomes Personal account again; in History you see … returned the space to personal.
  • If the organization still has members (including disabled ones) or people waiting for invitations, it stays an organization. When the members leave and the invitations are revoked or expire, it becomes personal at the next sign-in.

Organization transferred. It stays with the new owner, and at your next sign-in a new empty personal space on the entry-level plan appears for you.

Several spaces. The space picker is in the profile menu only if you have two or more spaces, for example your own and an organization where you are a member. The Space block in Settings → Profile appears if one of your spaces is an organization: with just one organization of your own, its row is shown without a choice and with a Rename icon; with several, a list to choose from. Until you choose, your own space opens (personal or your own organization), not someone else’s.

Disable a member (owner and administrator): Members and limits → Members → select → Disable.

  • A disabled member does not see the organization in the list of spaces. They cannot open or create its chats, projects and spreadsheets, including by direct link, and they do not receive its notifications. They also stop acting as administrators.
  • An open organization tab switches to an available space within 25 seconds at most.
  • In the Members tab they are shown with the mark Disabled. Enable restores access to everything, as before.
  • Their seat stays occupied.
  • An account has one personal space; a second one cannot be created by hand.
  • The owner does not leave an organization but transfers it: the Leave icon is absent for an organization you own, and present for a member.
  • In the Administration, an account’s space (personal, or one that became an organization) has no Delete. It goes away only together with the person’s record.
  • The limits of an account space that became an organization are the organization’s limits: a person’s Limits in the Administration also change the shared allowance of the whole organization.
  • Accounts that, before 12.10.2026, already had a separate Workspace with data, people or invitations next to the personal space keep two spaces. The personal account’s plan is no longer carried over to it.
  • A tab without a connection to the server learns about a disabling only after the page is refreshed.
